About Us Chinese Restaurant

Kwangchow Restaurant in Mount Maunganui was established in 1989 by John Lim, the Restaurant was the first Chinese Buffet Restaurant in the region. Over the years it have been owned and managed by family members.

We serve a popular buffet which includes a wide variety of Appetisers, Salads, Mains and Desserts in a Family Friendly Setting. A-La-Carte is also available for those who prefer a more traditional Chinese dining experience served to your table.

We are a fully licensed premise and can cater for groups of all sizes, with a maximum capacity of 150 people.

I'd always wanted to have a meal at this restaurant and was pleased that my choice was the right one. This restaurant has recently been renovated and includes an expansion which is not surprising given the number of people who eat there everyday.

We came here on Auckland anniversary after a hike on Mt. Maunganui a quick trip advisor search showed this place so we booked a table for 4. We were greeted and welcomed by a friendly dude.
